Following a Directive from the DGA in conjunction with Golf NSW,
Effective immediately we shall be reintroducing our COVID-19 Safety Plan
- No swapping Score cards (you should announce your score after you hole out)
- Ball Washers are out of use.
- Flagsticks must remain in the hole at all times.
Local Rule (Flagstick)
It is not permissible for a competitor or their caddy to touch or remove a flagstick from the hole.
There are devices placed within each hole to decrease the effective depth of the hole. As with rule 13.2.c: If any part of the ball at rest is in the hole below the surface of the putting green, the ball is treated as holed even if the entire ball is not below the surface.
When removing your ball from the hole competitors or their caddies are to take extreme care not to touch the flag or any part of the hole.
Penalty for Breach of Local Rule: General Penalty (Loss of Hole in Match Play,
Two-Stroke Penalty in Stroke Play).
- Rakes have been removed from the Bunkers (Local Rule Below Applies)
Local Rule (Bunkers)
When a player's ball lies in a ‘roughly repaired’ portion of a bunker, after obtaining their markers agreement of the lie the player may take free relief once by placing the original ball or another ball in and playing it from this relief area:
Reference Point: Spot of the original ball.
Size of Relief Area Measured from Reference Point: 1 scorecard length from the reference point, but with these limits:
Limits on Location of Relief Area:
o Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point,
o Must be in the bunker.
In proceeding under this Local Rule, the player must choose a spot to place the ball and use the procedures for replacing a ball under Rules 14.2b(2) and 14.2e.
Rakes have been removed from all Gold Creek bunkers until further notice. After
playing your shot(s) from the bunker, competitors are to smooth the area of play and any other footprints they have made in the bunker.
Penalty for Playing Ball from a Wrong Place in Breach of Local Rule: General
Penalty Under Rule 14.7a.
Please read the 3 attached Local Rules
